Media Menu: Creighton vs. Southern Illinois

The Bluejays finish their four game in eight day stretch with a Sunday evening matchup against Southern Illinois.  The Salukis have not been as successful as they were a few years ago, but it is still an important matchup as winning on your home court is especially important in conference play.

If you don’t get tickets for this game or can’t make it down to the CenturyLink Center for the 6:05 tipoff, don’t worry.  We have you covered with our Media Menu.  Here are the different ways you can follow the game Sunday night.

Television

The game will be broadcast by Nebraska Educational Television (NET), the PBS station across the state of Nebraska. The best part is that it is in HD! Kevin Kugler and former Creighton Bluejay Nick Bahe will have the call.

  • If you still have the rabbit ears on your TV, it is available across the state of Nebraska on your local PBS station.
  • For those with cable systems, it is available on Cox channel 12 or 1012 in the Omaha metro. In other areas of Nebraska, it will be available on your cable’s main NET channel. Here is a coverage map and translators/channels.
  • The game will be on DirecTV channel 26 and on Dish Network 9147 in the local DMA market which is Nebraska and parts of Iowa.
  • The game WILL be available nationwide on ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.com (where available). The NET SD broadcast will be beamed nationwide.

Online:

There are several ways to follow the game via the Internet:

  • You can watch the ESPN3 broadcast streaming live on your PC or XBox 360 through ESPN3.com if your internet provider carries this access. All of the major cable companies (Cox, Time Warner, Charter) carry ESPN3.com on their internet service. Here are a list of other high speed internet and video providers that carry ESPN3. You may also watch the NET broadcast directly that is also free.
  • You can also access ESPN3 through your Android, IPad or iPhone with the Watch ESPN app. However, that is limited to those with Bright House, Verizon FiOsTV, Verizon high speed internet and Time Warner subscribers.
  • Keep up with the live stats from Creighton. Follow the stats on your mobile device at GoCreightonStats.com.

Radio:

If you find yourself traversing the greater Midwest — specifically, the eastern part of Nebraska, Iowa, and even into Missouri — you can pick up T. Scott Marr’s play-by-play along with former Bluejay Jimmy Motz on AM 590, Omaha’s ESPN Radio.

If you are in the Carbondale area, you can pick up the Southern Illinois side of things on flagship WVZA, 105.1 FM and any other Saluki Radio Network affiliates throughout Illinois and parts of Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana, as well as St. Louis. Here is a coverage map.
