Basketballs were bouncing again in the CenturyLink center on Friday night as the Creighton Bluejays took the court in their only exhibition game of the season against the University of Mary. The Bluejays went on runs of 17-0 and 16-0 in the first half to put the game away by halftime and left with an 89-51 victory.
Doug McDermott looked like he hasn’t missed a beat, Avery Dingman emerged as a totally different player this season and Andre Yates put in his pitch to not redshirt this season. There were a lot of positives to be gained from the game and fans walked home happy, anticipating the early test next week against North Texas.
