Men's Basketball

Media Menu: Creighton Men’s Basketball vs. Tulsa

The Creighton men’s basketball team returns home to the CenturyLink Center on Wednesday night after getting a nice win at California over the weekend. The Bluejays will finish the non-conference season (that is, of course, except for BracketBusters) against Conference USA member Tulsa, now coached by NCAA hoops legend Danny Manning.

Snow is in the forecast. If you can’t make it to the game, here are your options for tracking the action Wednesday night:

Television

The game will be broadcast by Nebraska Educational Television (NET), the PBS station across the state of Nebraska. The best part is that it is in HD!  Larry Punteney and Nick Bahe will be on the call.

  • If you still have the rabbit ears on your TV, it is available across the state of Nebraska on your local PBS station.
  • For those with cable systems, it is available on Cox channel 12 (SD) or 1012 (HD) in the Omaha metro. In other areas of Nebraska, it will be available on your cable’s main NET channel. Here is a coverage map and translators/channels.
  • The game will be on DirecTV channel 26 and on Dish Network 9147 in the local DMA market which is Nebraska and parts of Iowa.
  • The game WILL be available nationwide on ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.com (where available). The NET standard definition broadcast will be beamed nationwide.

Online

  • You can watch the ESPN3 broadcast streaming live on your PC or XBox 360 through ESPN3.com if your internet provider carries this access. All of the major cable companies (Cox, Time Warner, Charter) carry ESPN3.com on their internet service. Here are a list of other high speed internet and video providers that carry ESPN3.
  • You may also watch the NET broadcast directly that is also free.
  • You can access ESPN3 through your Android, iPad, or iPhone with the Watch ESPN app. However, that is limited to those with Bright House, Verizon FiOsTV, Verizon high speed internet and Time Warner subscribers. New to this list is Cox Communications.  You can get this if you are a Cox internet subscriber.

Radio/Audio

  • If you find yourself traversing the greater Midwest — specifically, the eastern part of Nebraska, Iowa, and even into Missouri — you can pick up T. Scott Marr’s play-by-play along with former Bluejay Ross Ferarrini over the air on AM 590, Omaha’s ESPN Radio.
  • For our Tulsa, Oklahoma readers, you can pick up the Tulsa broadcast on your radio dial on the Tulsa Radio Network Affiliates in Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas.

After the game, stay tuned after the AM590 postgame to catch Bluejay Banter and their postgame show live from DJ’s Dugout across from the CenturyLink Center. They will talk to Creighton coaches and others to get the latest on the Bluejays as well as take phone calls.

As always, feel free to leave comments if there are other ways to follow the game.
