The Creighton Baseball team kept themselves in the early Valley race this weekend with a sweep over Southern Illinois. On Friday night, Tommy Strunc took a no-hitter into the ninth inning before the Bluejays saved the effort with a 4-3 victory. Saturday afternoon’s game was a chilly one, but some strong pitching and timely hitting ended in a 5-3 victory. Then finally on Sunday, Creighton jumped out to an early lead and got themselves out of a few early jams causing SIU to leave 14 base runners stranded to gain a 9-1 win.
