May 20, 2005 — Creighton loses a heartbreaker to nationally ranked Washington in the NCAA Tournament.

Creighton and #21 Washington battled through extra frames in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament, before the Bluejays took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 11th inning.

But the Huskies would post a winning two-out rally in their last at-bat. With a runner on first and one out away from heading to the losers bracket, Washington recorded three straight singles off CU pitcher Tammy Nielsen to end the game.
