August 29, 2008 — The men’s and women’s soccer teams help Jays fans Get Blue by posting resounding wins at Morrison Stadium.

More than 4,000 fans showed up to watch the #6 men’s team pull away from a 1-1 tie against Gonzaga. Goals by Andrei Gostmanov (13’), Tucker Sindlinger (59’) and two from Jeff Thayer (80’ and 85’) paced the Bluejays to the victory.

As for the women, they won their third straight match to start the season with a 2-0 showing against North Dakota State. Beth Fyles played 73 minutes and assisted on both Bluejay goals, and Kristen Casey corralled 7 shots to blank the Bison.
