Breaking: Hegner Commits to Creighton

White & Blue Review has confirmed that Wisconsin Playmakers star Toby Hegner has verbally committed to Creighton. Hegner is the first recruit for the very important 2013 class on the Hilltop.

At 6’10” Hegner can play anywhere across the front line, and he possesses an excellent stroke and deep range for a player his size. He also has a variety of low post moves, including a number of pump fakes and hook shots, weapons that should fit in perfectly with Coach McDermott’s offense.

Toby chose Creighton over offers from Boston College, Drake, St. Louis, Iowa State, Northern Iowa, Marquette, Northwestern, Bradley, Dayton, and Rice. Interest was coming from all over the midwest for his services, but Creighton’s blend of academics and basketball support convinced Hegner that Omaha was the place for him.

Hegner impressed at the recent Creighton camp in front of the entire Creighton staff as well as other top 2013 talent.
