Creighton Otter might not have been born to play sports on the Hilltop, but he was certainly put on this Earth in part to pull for Bluejays sports. Otter’s dad came to Omaha from Independence, Missouri, and left Creighton with two degrees. But he didn’t leave the city. Instead he stuck around, started a family, and began bringing his oldest son to basketball games at the Civic Auditorium. Otter learned basketball from his dad while watching guys like James Farr, Duan Cole, and the Dynamic Duo play for Tony Barone. And he got hooked.

Creighton Otter graduated in 2003 from Creighton’s Journalism program. He got a day job writing and editing for a local corporation, and a few years later married a fellow CU grad. He started penning a Bluejays Basketball blog in 2004, long on word count and probably short on wisdom or insight. And he still goes to basketball games with his dad.
