Saturday night, Creighton dismantled Houston Baptist, 97-62, in a game that didn’t seem as close as that score indicates. Afterward, Otter wrote that other than the early games against North Carolina A&T and Chicago State, there wasn’t a game on the schedule that seemed like more of a gimmie. I was slightly less diplomatic, summing the game up by saying “Houston Baptist throws up bricks, Creighton throws down dunks.”

48 hours later, Creighton traveled down to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take on an old foe: the Golden Hurricane. In front of a small, subdued audience (to use the word “crowd” seems phony), Creighton once again smacked around an opponent in the paint.
