Korver, Creighton Finish Among Most Memorable MVC Tournament Moments

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Arch Madness, Missouri Valley Conference fans participated in an online voting experience to rank their favorite all-time Arch Madness players and moments. Not surprisingly, the Creighton Bluejays finished among the leading vote-getters for both the individual and team honors.

Fans voted CU’s Kyle Korver the top player in Arch Madness history. Korver is the only back-to-back Most Outstanding Player in MVC Tournament history, and his Bluejays teams won the Arch Madness title in three of his four years at Creighton (2000, 2002, 2003). Three other Bluejays join Korver on the 10-man team: Nate Funk, Rodney Buford, and Ryan Sears.

As for the top 20 moments of Arch Madness, Creighton represents two of the top three as voted on by Valley fans. A 1996 buzzer beater by Bradley’s Deon Jackson garnered the top spot, while Nate Funk’s performance against Southern Illinois in the 2007 Arch Madness title game and Bob Harstad’s effort against then-Southwest Missouri State in 1991 were #2 and #3, respectively.
