Looking Ahead: Creighton Men’s Soccer @ UMKC

Creighton concludes its four-game away stretch with a mid-week game at UMKC.  The two teams last played in 2009, when UMKC notched a win at Morrison Stadium, a rare feat for any team.  The ‘Roos were upset in their season opener by Division I startup Nebraska-Omaha, and will be looking for their first win tonight against the Jays. Acclaimed forward David Sarabia moves to goalkeeper this season, which is a puzzling move but an interesting story line for opposing teams.  The Kangaroos will count on senior forward Jimmy Simon, a transfer from Rutgers, to continue his offensive production from last season, when he scored seven goals. Though UMKC are the defending Summit League champions and are predicted to win that league again, the Bluejays ought to be confident of their chances and back in class tomorrow morning with another win under the belt.
