Media Menu: Creighton Men’s Basketball @ Emerald Coast Classic

Get out the Thanksgiving leftovers.  The Creighton men’s basketball team heads to Florida to complete their participation in the Emerald Coast Classic exempt tournament on Friday and Saturday night.  The Bluejays will open on Friday night against Ole Miss.  On Saturday night, the Bluejays will play either Cincinnati or Middle Tennessee State.

There should be a good representation of Creighton fans down in Florida, but many are not making the trip.  Here are the ways you can follow along in the tournament.

  • Friday night tip:  7:30 p.m. Central Time
  • Saturday night tip:  5:00 p.m. (Consolation) or 8:00 p.m. (Championship)

Creighton vs. Ole Miss on TV Friday Night:

The game will not be available on traditional TV.  It will only be available over a live web stream.

Creighton vs. Cincinnati or Middle Tennessee on TV Saturday Night:

If the Bluejays win against Ole Miss, the game will be shown live on CBS Sports Network  in high definition. (NOTE: if outside Omaha, use the CBS Sports Network channel finder guide to see where CBS Sports Network is on your TV carrier).

  • In Omaha on Cox Communications = channel 234 (SD) or 1234 (HD)
  • In Omaha on CenturyLink Prism = channel 643 (SD) or 1643 (HD)
  • Nationally on DirecTV = channel 221
  • Nationally on Dish Network = channel 158

If the Bluejays lose against Ole Miss, the game will not be on traditional TV.  It will only be available over a live web stream.

Creighton vs. Ole Miss Online Friday Night:

Listening to the game:

  • All Weekend–If you find yourself in the Omaha metro — you can pick up John Bishop’s play-by-play along with former Bluejay Nick Bahe over the air on 1620 the Zone at 1620AM on your dial.
  • Friday vs. Ole Miss–If you live in the state of Mississippi or even around Memphis, you can pick up the game on your radio through any of the Ole Miss Radio Network affiliates.
  • Friday vs. Ole Miss–You can pick up the game on Sirius/XM Satellite radio on XM Channel 208, Sirius Channel 93 or SiriusXM Channel 208
  • Saturday vs. Cincinnati–To get the Cincinnati side of things, you can pick up the game on 700 WLW  AM on your dial.  The station’s 50,000-watt signal can project  Bearcat games to 38 states and a third of Canada,
  • Saturday vs. Middle Tennessee–You can pick up the game all over Tennessee on these radio affiliates.

After each game, stay tuned after the 1620 the Zone postgame to catch Bluejay Banter and their “Overtime” postgame show. They will talk to Creighton coaches and others to get the latest on the Bluejays as well as take phone calls.
