The Creighton men’s basketball team heads out to the east coast for a couple of important games.  They stop first at Providence on Saturday night.  With a dramatic win against St. John’s in double overtime on Thursday night, the Friars will be hungry for the Bluejays.

If you are not making the trip out there to join the Bluejays,  then there are a ton of other ways to follow the game for the Saturday night 7:07 p.m. central time tip.

Television:

The game will be shown live on FS1 in high definition with Dick Stockton and Tarik Turner on the call. (NOTE: if outside Omaha, use the Fox Sports 1 channel finder guide to see where FS1 is on your TV carrier).

  • In Omaha on Cox Communications = channel 78 (SD) or 1078 (HD)
  • In Omaha on CenturyLink Prism = channel 620 (SD) 1620 (HD)
  • Nationally on DirecTV = channel 219
  • Nationally on Dish Network = channel 150

Viewing Parties:

There will be several viewing parties across the Omaha metro, but the one you will want to be at is located at the Brazen Head Irish Pub just north of 78th and Dodge St.  WBR will be there for the event handing out some goodies to the Creighton fans in attendance.

The Brazen Head is also giving away a trip to the Big East Tournament at halftime.  You will want to register for your chance to win.  Here are more details on the event and the drawing.

Online:

  • For those with Fox Sports 1 on these select systems (Xfinity, AT&T Uverse, Suddenlink, WOW, Midcontinent, and Optimum) you can download the Fox Sports Go app for your Apple device and stream the game.
  • For those that have Fox Sports 1 from Cox Communications in Omaha, inside your home you can watch the game on the Cox Contour app on your Apple iPad device and select Android tablets.  The Contour app is available to Cox bundle customers with Cox TV Essential or better, and Cox Internet Preferred or better. The app is compatible with iPad 2 or newer (iPad 1 is compatible with the Cox TV Connect app, also found in the App store).
  • Keep up with the live stats of the game.
  • Follow the tweets of GoCreighton for score updates.
  • Follow the tweets of Steve Pivovar from the Omaha World-Herald for insight during the game.
  • Listen to the streaming audio of the broadcast by1620 the Zone, the home of the Bluejays online on your computer.
  • Listen to the streaming audio of the broadcast on your mobile device by getting the 1620 the Zone app available for Android and Apple products.

  • For a different perspective, you can listen to the Providence online broadcast.

Radio/Audio:

  • If you find yourself in the Omaha metro — you can pick up John Bishop’s play-by-play along with former Bluejay Nick Bahe over the air on 1620 the Zone at 1620AM on your dial.
  • If you live in the Providence area, you can pick up the broadcast on WEEI, 103.7 FM.
  • You can also hear the Providence student perspective of the game on 91.3 FM WDOM in the Providence area.

After the game, stay tuned after the 1620 the Zone postgame to catch Bluejay Banter and their “Overtime” postgame show. They will talk to Creighton coaches and others to get the latest on the Bluejays as well as take phone calls.
