Media Menu: Creighton @ San Diego State

The #22 Creighton Bluejays hit the road again for another tough challenge Wednesday night. This time the Jays travel to San Diego State, where they’ll face the 7-1 Aztecs. Steve Fisher’s team is on a roll after beating Arizona and UC Santa Barbara last week.

This game is part of the third annual MVC/MWC Challenge series pitting schools from each of these conferences against each other to provide an extra scheduling opportunity.

As usual, we provide you a Media Menu on how you can follow the Bluejays home or away. Here is the information you can use for Wednesday night’s game that starts at 9:30 p.m. Central time.

NOTE: WBR will be in San Diego for the game. So, watch our Twitter feed for exclusive coverage and photos from the road.

Television

The game will be broadcast by the Mountain West Conference-owned TV station The Mtn. Although the channel is now 5 years old, several outlets still do not carry the channel. Here are your options to see the game:

  • If you have DirecTV, you can catch the game nationwide on channel 616.
  • If you have Cox Cable in Omaha, you are out of luck. They do not carry The Mtn. There are other Cox markets that carry the channel, but not here. Dish Network also does not carry The Mtn.
  • For those that live in San Diego, the game will be available on SD4 locally over the air or through Cox Cable.
  • If you live in the Omaha Metro and you want to watch the game, here are a few of the local establishments showing the game live Wednesday night:
    • All DJ’s Dugout locations will be showing the game on their big screens.
    • Bluejay Banter will be hosting a viewing party at the Olympic Sports Bar at 14th and Farnum
  • For other cable outlets throughout the United States that carry the channel, check for availability in your area by going here and scrolling down the page to the “Find The Mtn in your Area” section on the right side.

Online

There are several ways to follow the game via the Internet:

  • There will not be a video stream of this game since the broadcast rights are owned by The Mtn.
  • Keep up with the live stats provided from StatBroadcast and San Diego State.
  • Follow the tweets of GoCreighton for score updates.
  • Follow the tweets of Steve Pivovar from the Omaha World-Herald for insight during the game.
  • Listen to the streaming audio of the broadcast by AM 590, Omaha’s ESPN Radio.
  • For a different perspective you can listen to the streaming San Diego State broadcast.

Radio

If you find yourself traversing the greater Midwest — specifically, the eastern part of Nebraska, Iowa, and even into Missouri — you can pick up T. Scott Marr’s play-by-play along with former Bluejay sharpshooter Nick Bahe on 590 AM on your radio dial.

For a different perspective, listeners in the San Diego area can pick up the Aztec broadcast on their radios on AM 600 KOGO on on the FM dial at 95.7.
