Media Menu: Creighton vs. Davidson (CBI)

Creighton won its opening round of the College  Basketball Invitational last Tuesday night over San Jose State with a little more than 3,000 vocal Bluejay fans cheering on a team that looked as comfortable as they have all season. They continue their quest in the tournament against Davidson on Monday night.

Davidson is remembered by many as a team that advanced to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament a couple of seasons ago with Stephen Curry and his amazing shooting. Curry has gone on to big things in the NBA and the Wildcats, like many mid-major schools, have fallen back into the rest of the heap hoping to build up to make another run in the future.

This game should be a good one and it is expected that more fans will be in the arena on Monday night. However, if you can’t be there, here are the options available to you to follow the Bluejays with the 7:05 p.m. tip.

Television

This game will be televised by HDNet. As the name of the channel suggests, yes it will be in HD. However, the channel is not offered in Omaha on Cox Communications, nor in Lincoln on Time Warner Cable.  However, there are still ways to watch.

  • It is available on Satellite providers DirecTV on channel 79 or 306 and Dish Network channel 362.
  • In Nebraska, HDNet is available on the following cable systems:  Charter Cable (Grand Island area), Great Plains Cable (Western Nebraska) and Huntel Cablevision (now known as American Broadband) with Blair being the closest location that would be carrying the game on cable.
  • For the rest of the nation, check here and enter your zip code to find where HDNet is available in your area.
