Media Menu: Creighton vs. Southern Illinois

Creighton comes home licking the wounds suffered at the hands of the Shockers. But the Bluejays can’t dwell on Saturday’s painful loss at Wichita because the Salukis are coming to town. The Jays find themselves riding an unfamiliar winning streak against SIU coming into tonight’s game, having taken the last three meetings between the two schools. But many CU fans wouldn’t be surprised if the only team with a winning record at Qwest Center Omaha other than the Jays got back to its winning ways in Omaha.

At White & Blue Review, we want to make sure you are always aware of the different media at your disposal for keeping track of every Bluejays game, home and away. Here are the different viewing and tracking options for Wednesday’s 8 p.m. game against Southern Illinois.

Television

The game will be televised on Fox Sports Net. Mitch Holthus and Charlie Spoonhour will have the call, and those two gentlemen know the Missouri Valley Conference like no one else. Here is how you can catch the game if you are in the Omaha metro:

  • If you have Cox Communications, you can find the game on channel 47 or on the high definition channel 745 (the game is not in HD, though, so you will have sidebars on the screen).
  • If you have satellite service you can see the game on Dish Network channel 418 and on DirecTV channel 671.

Online

There are several ways to follow the game via the Internet:

  • You can listen to the audio online at Big Sports 590 AM in Omaha
  • Keep up with the Live Stats from GoCreighton.com
  • For a different perspective, you can listen to the Saluki radio broadcast online at siusalukis.com.
  • There is not a video webcast available for this game.

Radio

If you find yourself traversing the greater Midwest — specifically, the eastern part of Nebraska, Iowa, and even into Missouri — you can pick up T. Scott Marr’s play-by-play with former Bluejay Nick Bahe on Big Sports 590 AM.

If you are in the Carbondale area, you can pick up the Southern Illinois side of things on flagship WVZA, 105.1 FM and any other Saluki Radio Network affiliates throughout Illinois and parts of Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana. Here, even, is a coverage map.
