Women's Basketball

Media Menu: Creighton Women’s Basketball vs. St. Johns (NCAA Tournament First Round)

The Creighton women’s basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002. Winning the MVC automatic bid earned the #14 seeded Bluejays a date with #3 seeded St. John’s on Sunday in Norman, Oklahoma.

This weekend will see CU fans headed in several different directions for March Madness — the CenturyLink Center for the NCAA Tournament, Greensboro for the Creighton men’s basketball game, and Norman for the women’s basketball game. If you aren’t one of the lucky ones to follow the women for the 4:05 p.m. tip, then here are the ways you can follow the game.

Television:

The game will be televised on ESPN2 with home market protection, meaning the Omaha area will see the game in it’s entirety on ESPN2. Other areas across the nation may see a different game and/or “whip-around” coverage.  Marc Kestecher and Kayte Christensen will be on the call.

  • In Omaha on Cox Communications cable system it is on digital channel 30 or in HD on channel 1030. You will have to check with your local cable provider to see if you get ESPN2, but it is almost likely you have it in your basic cable package.
