The 23rd ranked Creighton men’s basketball team played the second game of the Emerald Coast Classic at the CenturyLink Center on Tuesday night in front of another sellout crowd. The Bluejays rolled over the Panthers from Eastern Illinois 75-53.
The game started off close with the Bluejays with a small 16-12 lead. That is when Geoffrey Groselle came off the bench and scored on four consecutive possessions to blow the lead open to 22-14 and the lead expanded from there. Groselle led all players in scoring with 15 points. Toby Hegner chipped in 13 points of his own, while every other Bluejay that entered the game cracked the scoring column in the win.
The regulars were sat for most of the second half to get ready for the trip to Florida this weekend as the Jays take on Ole Miss on Friday night and then either Cincinnati or Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
