Photo Gallery: Creighton Baseball Comes From Behind With Solid Bullpen Help

After watching the first two innings of the game, Creighton fans might have thought they were in for a long night.  Fortunately, they bounced back, had a solid outing from the bullpen and left TDAmeritrade Park on Tuesday night with a 9-4 victory over South Dakota State.

Creighton started the game giving up two runs in each of the first two innings spotting SDSU a 4-0 lead.  However, the Bluejays bounced back in the bottom of the fourth with Jack Strunc’s first home run of the season, a two-run shot to cut the lead.

The Bluejays opened the flood gates in the bottom of the fifth inning with five runs to take the lead.  Add in another two insurance runs in the seventh, and Creighton gets their 19th win of the season.

The Creighton bullpen pitched 7 2/3 inning of scoreless relief with Ian Evans getting his first win of the season.
