The Creighton baseball team started headed into the weekend with a four-game winning streak but were faced with a big test in a series against Dallas Baptist. Although they started off strong, the weekend ended with a couple more losses, losing the series against the Patriots.
The Bluejays started the series on Friday night with a 4-1 win to extend their winning streak to five games, their longest of the season. Ty Blach pitched a complete game in the 4-1 win.

On Saturday, the Bluejays winning streak was broken in a 5-2 loss. Dallas Baptist chased Shane Liska with five runs in the fifth inning and the Creighton bats were held quiet for the rest of the game.
In the series finale, Creighton jumped on the Patriots with a 5-run fifth inning, but then the Bluejay bullpen was tagged with four runs in the eighth and Dallas Baptist took the series 2-1 with an 8-6 victory. Although Creighton out hit the Patriots, they were not able to score the runs needed.
