It might not be the tournament Greg McDermott and his Bluejays wanted to reach this season, but the College Basketball Invitational gives McDermott’s first CU squad valuable extra games against decent competition. Tuesday night, the Bluejays opened things up a bit on offense, to the tune of an 85-74 win against San Jose State. Doug McDermott led all scorers, while Gregory Echenique and Jahenns Manigat pitched in great efforts and Antoine Young played turnover-free basketball.
