Photo Gallery: Creighton Loses Another One At The End, This Time to Marquette

The Creighton men’s basketball team was looking to get back on track Saturday night against Marquette.  However, the Bluejays gave up a 15 point lead in the second half and for the second straight Big East game, lost in the final seconds 90-86 to the Golden Eagles in front of another sellout crowd.

The Bluejays looked like they were going to run away with it by the end of the first half and extended their lead to 15 early in the second half.  However, Marquette switched their defense to a zone and Creighton struggled letting Marquette back into it.  Khyri Thomas played a career game scoring 26 points including several baskets down the stretch.  Thomas did not see the ball in the Jays final two possessions.  Creighton was forced to foul, down two, with six seconds remaining.  Marquette’s Sam Hauser calmly sank two free throws to put them up by four and it was game over for the Bluejays.

WBR’s Brad Williams was on hand to capture the action from the game.  Head over to the WBR Photo Store to get your own copy and enjoy the slideshow below.
