Everything in the world is good again. The Creighton men’s basketball team started the 2015-16 on a positive note with a 93-70 win over Texas Southern on Saturday night. The Bluejays tied a school record with their 21st consecutive win in their home opener.
Khyri Thomas led the Bluejays with 18 points and an array of dunks that wowed the crowd. Five Bluejays scored in double-figures with Mo Watson and Isaiah Zierden combining for 25 points and 11 assists. Cole Huff and Martin Krampelj were the other two in double figures as Creighton went into halftime with a 16 point lead and pulled away early in the second half to get a lead as large as 34 points before the final score.
