The Creighton men’s basketball team punched their ticket to the quarterfinals of the NIT with the easy 87-54 victory over Wagner on Saturday at CenturyLink Center Omaha. The margin of victory is the largest ever for a Creighton team in the postseason.
The Bluejays got off to a quick start dropping the ball down in the post. Bluejay big men Geoffrey Groselle and Zach Hanson combined for 32 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Khyri Thomas had another strong game with 13 points and 4 rebounds while James Milliken chipped in 12 points of his own. The Bluejays now head to Provo, Utah to take on BYU on Tuesday night.
