Men's Basketball

The Creighton men’s basketball team was on display Friday night, making their 2016-17 debut in an exhibition game against Division II Wayne St.  Marcus Foster led five Bluejays in double figures with 13 points as they rolled to a 93-46 victory.

Bluejay fans were highly anticipating the first on-court action for Foster along with other newcomers Davion Mintz, and Kobe Paras along with Justin Patton and Martin Krampelj, who both redshirted last season.  Of course it was the veterans leading the way for the Bluejays as Maurice Watson Jr. scored 11 points and 7 assists, while Khyri Thomas put in 11 points of his own.

Ronnie Harrell came on strong with 10 points, many coming off of some great offensive rebounds over the top of Wayne St. players.  Krampelj closed out the players in double figures with 11 points.  Overall it was a great opportunity to see the Bluejays on the court again and seeing a top 25 team in action to get excited about what they could do this season.

WBR photographer Adam Streur was there to capture all the action.  Get your favorite photos over at the WBR Photo Store.  Additionally enjoy the photo slideshow gallery below.

The Bluejays open the regular season on Friday, November 11th vs. UMKC at CenturyLink Center.
