Creighton Volleyball locked up the Big East regular season championship on Friday night, but the Bluejays remained focused on Sunday. They responded with a 26-24, 25-14, 25-18 sweep of Butler during Senior Day at DJ Sokol Arena. Creighton won their fifth straight match and are now 22-8 on the season, 16-1 in Big East play.
Jaali Winters continued her stellar freshman season with another double-double, while all five seniors–Maggie Baumert, Kate Elman, Ashley Jansen, Melanie Jereb, and Lizzy Stivers contributed significantly in the victory. The Bluejays will finish the regular season Friday in Washington D.C. against Georgetown before returning home to host the Big East Conference Tournament the week of Thanksgiving.
