The CenturyLink Center was alive again on Tuesday night as the Creighton men’s basketball team celebrated Senior night. It was a dramatic evening as the Bluejays came from behind to send the game into overtime on a last second tip-in by Gregory Echenique. Although Evansville’s Colt Ryan scored a new facility high of 43 points, his last shot at the end of overtime did not go in and Creighton went off the court as winners 93-92. Josh Jones five of the final six points to help celebrate.
Afterwards, seniors Antoine Young, Matt Dorwart, Ross Ferarrini and Derek Sebastian were able to give their farewell speeches with smiles on their face. Young played his final game at the CenturyLink Center scoring 21 points, including 13-of-14 from the charity stripe, and 7 assists to help lead the way.
