The Creighton baseball team has been rolling along in Big East play. After taking the series against Georgetown with wins on Friday and Saturday, the Bluejays lost for the first time in their past eight games as the Hoyas took game three 3-2 on Creighton Senior Day.
Creighton got out early to a 2-0 lead in the third inning and that was the last of the offense from the Bluejays on Sunday. The Hoyas tied things up in the seventh inning and then took the lead in the top of the ninth against Creighton closer David Gerber. The Bluejays couldn’t get anything going in the bottom of the inning to spark another come back like they have many other times this season.
