The Creighton men’s basketball team started their quest for the MVC Tournament championship on Friday night against the Drake Bulldogs. Before that, fans sent the Bluejays out in style with an amazing pep rally at the Hyatt hotel where the lobby was packed full of Creighton supporters.
The Bluejays started off a little slow and the Bulldogs were pesky, but Creighton won the game to send them to the semifinals against Evansville on Saturday afternoon. With the Scottrade Center crowd of 14, 412 filling the stands on Friday night, it would lead you to believe that the attendance will keep going up as the weekend goes along.
