Ronnie Harrell Signs With Creighton

Ronnie Harrell, a 6’8” Senior  from Denver East, has signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Coach Greg McDermott and the Creighton Bluejays for the 2014-2015 season.

Harrell is a tremendous shooter who at 6’8” poses as a very difficult match-up for opposing defenses. Harell was heavily recruited by a number of schools, yet decided on Creighton due to their ability to push the ball in transition, excellent ball movement, and tradition of sharp-shooters.

The Creighton staff values Harrell’s ability to play and defend multiple positions on the floor. Here is some video of Harrell’s ability to do a number of things on the court.

Ronnie averaged 16 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, 4 assists per game and 3 steals per game his junior season at Denver East.

Since his commitment to Creighton a few months ago, Harrell has begun to really open the eyes of national scouts and coaches. His recent play at the Pangos Colorado Camp had many writers and scouts who cover the scene buzzing. Here is some more video of his exploits at the Pangos Camp.

Here is what Coach McDermott had to say about Ronnie, “he has a tremendous skill set with his ability to see the floor and handle the basketball.  He has deep range from the perimeter which will fit our system well.  He has grown up in a basketball family which has taught him the value of hard work and dedication to the game.”
