Today in Bluejay History (4/12)

April 12, 2009 — Northern Iowa and Creighton face off on the diamond for the last time.

The Bluejays posted their 47th and final win against UNI thanks to Darin Ruf’s 5 RBI. Ruf and Robbie Knight (3-3 with 4 runs) led the way to a 14-1, run rule-shortened win against the Panthers.

The game marked the last time the two schools would play baseball after the Panthers’ program ended in 2009. The Jays and Panthers met 76 times, with CU leading the all-time series 47-29.
