Today in Bluejay History (4/20)

April 20, 2003 — Creighton allows 24 hits to Northern Iowa.

The Bluejays and Panthers met for a weekend series in 2003, with UNI taking four straight games from Jack Dahm’s CU squad. Creighton lost 11-2, 9-3, 15-11, and 9-6 (in 10 innings).

In one of the games during the Sunday doubleheader Bluejays pitchers gave up two dozen hits to the Panthers. That’s the second highest single-game hit total allowed by Creighton pitchers to an opponent in the program’s history. The previous season, against UC-Santa Barbara, the Bluejays allowed 25 hits.
