Today in Bluejay History (5/5)

May 5, 1995 — Creighton’s softball team begins one of its longest losing streaks in program history.

The Bluejays traveled to Springfield for a doubleheader against Missouri State, and CU dropped both games. The Jays would drop the last four games of the 1995 season, including those two to the Bears, and not win another game until March 9, 1996.

The stretch of 7 consecutive losses is tied with a similar 7-game losing streak in 2003 for the fourth-longest in school history; three games off the school-record 10-game losing streak (done twice, last in 2002).
