September 15, 1979 — One day after winning its first match of the tournament via forfeit, the inaugural Creighton men’s soccer team wins two more contests in the Northern States Conference Soccer Tournament.

The Bluejays, coached by Mark Schmechel, beat Dordt 3-0 and Nebraska-Omaha 3-1 at Dodge Park. The Jays won their first game of the weekend when South Dakota forfeited the match.
