Today in Bluejay History (9/29)

September 29, 1990 — Creighton blanks Bradley 4-0 in the first season of the Bluejays’ second attempt at collegiate men’s soccer.

Creighton brought Bob Warming to Omaha to serve as head coach for the Bluejays, and he managed the 1990 team to a 12-5-3 record. They were not part of the Missouri Valley Conference the first season with Warming at the helm, but they squared off against some of their future MVC foes.

The four goals against the Braves came one game after the Jays throttled Concordia 14-0. The 1990 team scored 68 total goals, the second most in school history (79 goals in 1980) and the most since reinstating the program in 1990.
