On Monday night, Creighton hosted Oregon in game one of the best-in-three series for the College Basketball Invitational. The awkwardness of Dana Altman coming back to town with his new Ducks team wore off minutes into the game and a raucous crowd helped provide energy for the final home game at the Qwest Center for this season.
Things now shift to Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, where the Bluejays will try Wednesday to sweep the Ducks for the CBI championship. Fail to win game two, and the Jays will have to fend for a title Friday in Duck territory.
