Wednesday night, Creighton plays the first of four games that will decide where their postseason dreams lay — in the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. How many of those games they need to win in order to make the former rather than the latter is up for debate, but the one thing everyone can agree on is that if they get invited to the Dance, it will be on the back of Maurice Watson, Jr.
To get everyone pumped for the final stretch, WBR put together a four-minute mixtape of Watson’s greatest hits from this season. Acrobatic layups, sneaky dribble penetration moves, Globetrotter-esque passes, they’re all here. We asked our Twitter followers last week which song they’d like as the soundtrack, and the overwhelming favorite was “Motownphilly” by BoyzIIMen, which we thought was a fitting choice for the Philadelphia native. (Though we’d be lying if we didn’t admit to using Big East Coast Bias’ Alex Sindelar’s suggestion for “Tiny Dancer” in an early cut just for the heck of it.)
