Women’s Basketball Media Menu: Creighton @ MVC Tournament

The Creighton women’s basketball team has come so close to tasting the NCAA Tournament the past few years. In three of the past four seasons, the Bluejays have been in the MVC Tournament finals. In each of those games they have endured heartbreak, losing the championship contests by a total of 4 points.

Again, Jim Flanery scheduled a difficult non-conference schedule to prepare the Jays for conference season, even with a lot of new players to put into the mix. The result: Flan’s team tied for second place in the league. However, instead of securing the number two seed in the conference tournament, Creighton lost the last three games of the season and slipped into the fourth seed. The Bluejays have a lot of work to do to change their fortunes and finally advance to the Big Dance.

While the men went to St. Louis for Arch Madness, the Creighton women now head to St. Charles, Missouri, for a little thing that has caught on as Chuck Madness. Fans will flock to the St. Louis suburb to support the team, but not all may be able to make the trip. You can still show your support by choosing your media platform to follow the action.
