September 23, 2003 — Creighton’s volleyball team visits Kansas City and picks up a win over the Kangaroos of UMKC, 3-1.
The four-set win was Creighton’s third straight victory, good for the team’s longest winning streak since the fall of 2001. Leah Ratzlaff had 20 kills for the Bluejays, who won the first two sets 30-23 and 30-22 before dropping set four 25-30. Creighton climbed back and fought off the ‘Roos 30-28 in the decisive set.
The Jays would win a fourth straight match a few days later in Des Moines against Drake, but then fall to #10 Northern Iowa to stop the win streak at four.
