On Saturday night, the CenturyLink Center turned pink as the Creighton men’s basketball team took on Bradley in a Coaches vs. Cancer game supporting the fight against breast cancer. The Bluejays won 73-59 in front of the largest crowd in Creighton basketball history. The 18,436 fans in attendance as well as others watching on TV saw the Bluejays move their record to 20-2, the earliest on the calendar to get that 20th win.
The frontcourt duo of Doug McDermott and Gregory Echenique led the way. McDermott had 24 points to lead the Bluejays while Echenique had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Jones had a great night off the bench playing 25 minutes and contributing 14 points. Creighton also had 20 assists on their 24 baskets.
The unique pink uniforms and the pink shirts in the crowd create some great pictures. WBR photographer Mike Spomer was there to capture the environment. Enjoy the photos below.
