The Bluejays hit the road this week, but just down I-80 first to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Thursday. Creighton will have a couple more challenging opponents in Weber State and St. Mary’s on Friday and Saturday as a part of the Ameritas Players Challenge.
Coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth told us this week that her team is still a work in progress and may be that way for a while yet. Having the next match against Nebraska won’t be easy and may not answer those questions yet. It will be especially hard with this match being the Huskers’ home opener. However, it is always fun to see a Creighton vs. Nebraska matchup in any sport.
