On Saturday night, the 2024-25 Creighton Men’s basketball team played in front of fans for the first time this season. What an exciting first game, even though it was only an exhibition, but #15 preseason ranked Creighton hosted #14 preseason ranked Purdue at the CHI Health Center. A crowd of over 15,000 were on hand for the charity exhibition contest as the Jays took down the Boilermakers 93-87.
The Bluejays looked sharp on offense and newcomer Pop Isaacs went for 24 points to lead the Jays. Senior leaders Ryan Kalkbrenner had 18 points and Steven Ashworth had 16 to round out the Jays in double-figures.
Once again, WBR’s Matt DeMarinis and Hurrdat Sports’ Jacob Padilla will break things down after the game in our Bluejay Beat podcast. This podcast is an exclusive to our Patreon subscribers. This Bluejay Beat is being released for free so you can sample the content and more that will be provided this basketball season. Please subscribe at https://patreon.com/whitebluereview
