Last Tuesday, Creighton opened the 2018-19 season with a 78-67 win over Western Illinois. The performance was uneven, but featured several nice individual efforts — Damien Jefferson had eight points and 12 rebounds, Mitch Ballock had 13 points and five assists, and Ty-Shon Alexander had 12 points, four assists, six rebounds, a block and a steal. And in his return to the lineup after ACL surgery, Martin Krampelj led the team with 13 points and seven boards. Look back at all of that, and more, in the WBR Highlight Reel!
Then on Sunday afternoon, the Jays found themselves down by 12 with under eight minutes to play against ETSU. An 18-2 run, keyed by 10 of Ty-Shon Alexander’s career-high 20 points, put them ahead, and then they pulled away for a six-point win.
