The Creighton men’s basketball team made some strides this week as they won their opening road game of the season against UAB on Wednesday night. Sunday, Creighton hits the road again, this time for a neutral court game against Iowa in Des Moines at the Wells Fargo Arena.
While many fans from both teams will make the short drive to see it live, the game against the Hawkeyes will also mark Creighton’s first appearance on TV this season. Before each game, home and away, we present a Media Menu. Here are the options for tracking Creighton’s Sunday afternoon game.
Television
Creighton will be on TV for the first time this season. The game will be seen on the Big Ten Network, which is available in up to 80 million homes. Here is where to find the game on the tube:
- In Omaha, on Cox Communications, the game can be seen on channel 80 or in high definition channel 1080. You have to have a cable box to see this; it is not available with basic cable.
- On DirecTV, the game is available on channel 610.
- On Dish Network, the game is on channel 418.
- To find the game on a cable system in your area, use the Big Ten Network Gamefinder.
Online
There are several ways to follow the game via the Internet:
- A video stream on the internet is available through the Big Ten Network’s BTN2Go. However, your internet provider must be subscribed to BTN2Go to be accessible from your computer or mobile device. The largest cable providers, along with DirecTV and Dish Network, provide this service to their customers if they are subscribers to a cable TV tier that includes the Big Ten Network.
- Keep up with the live stats provided by Iowa.
- MVCFans.com will have a live in-game chat at courtside with one of their correspondents.
- Follow the tweets of GoCreighton for score updates.
- Follow the tweets of Steve Pivovar from the Omaha World-Herald for insight during the game.
- Listen to the streaming audio of the broadcast by AM 590, Omaha’s ESPN Radio.
- For a different perspective you can listen to the streaming Iowa broadcast of the game, but only if you are subscribed to the Big Ten Digital Network.
Radio
If you find yourself traversing the greater Midwest — specifically, the eastern part of Nebraska, Iowa, and even into Missouri — you can pick up T. Scott Marr’s play-by-play along with former Bluejay legend Nick Bahe on 590 AM on your radio dial.
For a different perspective and listeners traveling through Iowa and even parts of Wisconsin, you can pick up the game on any of the Hawkeye Radio Network affiliates.
Satellite radio will also be in play on Sunday as the game can be heard on Sirius/XM radio channel 128 with the Iowa broadcast.
As always, if you have other media entities to add to follow the games, feel free to leave them in the comments.
