Over a month ago, Creighton went into Springfield looking to get an elusive road win. The Bluejays couldn’t get out of southern Missouri fast enough, however, eventually getting blown out 70-52. Dana Altman’s Jays have a chance for redemption tonight in the semifinals of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. A win against fellow Valley school MSU and it is “90% likely” that the championship game for the CIT will go through Omaha.
Whether or not Creighton should have been required to hit the road, they still have to win this game for their chance at another 20-win season. The Bears hope to eliminate the Jays from the tournament, and MSU is trying to pack the JQH Arena tonight to add to Cuonzo Martin’s team’s home court advantage.
