At the start of the season, Creighton and Northern Iowa were the two favorites to win the Missouri Valley Conference. The Panthers held up their end of the bargain, but the same can’t be said for the Bluejays.
CU will try to put behind them the missed opportunities of conference play and try to collect a win against a ranked team (something they have not done all season, though they had chances against Dayton, Michigan, and New Mexico).
At White & Blue Review, we want to make sure you are always aware of the different media at your disposal for keeping track of every Bluejays game, home and away. If you can’t make the trip to Cedar Falls, there are several media options to catch the game anyway.
Television
Fox Sports Net will televise the game. Dan McLaughlin and (as they always say on the FSN broadcasts) former Iowa coach Mac McCausland will have the call, and those two gentlemen know the Missouri Valley Conference like the backs of their hands. Here is how you can catch the game if you are in the Omaha metro:
- If you have Cox Communications, you can find the game on channel 47 or on the high definition channel 745 (the game is not in HD, though, so you will have sidebars on the screen).
- If you have satellite service you can see the game on Dish Network channel 418 and on DirecTV channel 671.
Online
There are several ways to follow the game via the Internet:
- You can listen to the audio online at Big Sports 590 in Omaha.
- Keep up with the Live Stats from GoCreighton.com.
- Or for a different perspective you can follow the action on Northern Iowa’s online radio broadcast at UNIPanthers.com.
- Video streaming will not be available.
Radio
If you find yourself traversing the greater Midwest — specifically, the eastern part of Nebraska, Iowa, and even into Missouri — you can pick up T. Scott Marr’s play-by-play on Big Sports 590 AM along with former Bluejay Nick Bahe.
If you find yourself in the greater Cedar Falls area, you can catch the Panthers broadcast on KXEL 1540 AM or on any other of the Panther Radio Network affiliates.
As always if you have other media entities to add to follow the games, feel free to leave them in the comments.
