The big bats were out again for the Creighton baseball and softball teams, as both Trever Adams and Amy Baker had exceptional offensive efforts yet again.
Adams, who leads Ed Servais’ team with a .390 batting average, went 2 for 5 and knocked in the winning run on a single in the bottom of the ninth inning. The win gave the Bluejays baseball team a sweep of the Portland Pilots, and CU’s record stands at 20-5 heading into a midweek game against Nebraska.
Baker, who won the Missouri Valley Conference player of the week award, went 3 for 3 with another home run on Sunday. The Jays lost, but Baker finished the weekend series, which CU won, 7 for 10 with 3 home runs and 7 runs batted in.
WBR’s Adam Streur was there to shoot photos during both games. Enjoy!
