After a one year hiatus from the school’s quest for a first College Cup national championship, the Creighton Bluejays returned to NCAA Tournament action with a resounding 4-1 win against New Mexico. Ethan Finlay, the Valley Player of the Year, scored 2 goals, while Jose Gomez and Tyler Polak each added a tally for the Jays. The win advances Creighton to a second round matchup against Southern Methodist this Sunday in Dallas. The two teams met already this season, with the Mustangs winning 3-2 in overtime in Peoria, Illinois.
