The Creighton men’s basketball team took the momentum from the win at Georgetown on Monday night into one of the more emotional games on Friday night against Butler. The Bluejays held their 9th annual Pinkout game in front of a sold out CHI Health Center and got a hard fought victory over the Bulldogs, 75-61.
The Bluejays got balanced contributions from Ty-Shon Alexander (19 points), Martin Krampelj (16 points), Davion Mintz (14 points) and Mitch Ballock (13 points) in the win. The fifth starter, Marcus Zegarowski contributed 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
It was a battle throughout the game, similar to those fighting the battle that represented the game outside of the game–Cancer. The Pinkout event is truly one of the most special nights of the season and everything done each day to fight this disease is remarkable. Thanks to everyone who puts this event together.
