The Creighton Volleyball team started the day on Saturday in a battle with #21 Kansas State. Early in the match, Michelle Sicner went down with an injury and did not play the rest of the day. Despite getting swept by the Wildcats, the Bluejays put up a fight as they scrambled to find the right combination to replace Sicner. Against a top 25 team, that is always a challenge and the Bluejays went down 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21.
Creighton did rebound in the nightcap as they moved to 5-1 on the season and took down Denver in four sets. Kelli Browning led the way with 15 kills and six blocks. Browning finished on the All-Tournament team. Leah McNary also had a good night contributing 13 kills of her own.
WBR photographer Mike Spomer was there for the evening match. Enjoy some pictures from the Bluejays win over Denver.
